Cheeky skulls update the classic round-yoke sweater. Wear it with a relaxed fit for all your cold-weather shenanigans. This sweater can be modified for men’s/tall sizes. Instructions for doing so are given within the pattern. 

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

33 (37, 41, 45, 49, 53)” (84 [94, 104, 114.5, 124.5, 134.5] cm) chest circumference.

Project shown measures 37” (94 cm) and is designed to be worn with 3–4” (8–10 cm) of positive ease.

YARN

Worsted weight (#4 Medium) in 2 colors:
Main Color: 986 (1,106, 1,225, 1,345, 1,465, 1,585) yd (902 [1,011, 1,120, 1,230, 1,340, 1,449] m)
Contrast Color: 66 (74, 82, 90, 98, 106) yd (60 [68, 75, 82, 90, 97] m).

NEEDLES

Ribbing: Size U.S. 5 (3.75 mm): 32” (80 cm) circular needle, 16” (40 cm) circular needle, set of dpn.

Stockinette sections: Size U.S.
6 (4.0 mm): 32” (80 cm) circularneedle, 16” (40 cm) circular needle, set of dpn.

Colorwork: Size U.S. 7 (4.5 mm): 32” (80 cm) circular needle.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

NOTIONS

Waste yarn; stitch markers (m); tapestry needle.

GAUGE

20 sts and 31 rnds = 4” (10 cm) in St stitch pattern on middle-size needles.
20 sts and 27 rnds = 4” (10 cm) in colorwork stitch pattern on largest needles.
21 sts and 32 rnds = 4” (10 cm) in ribbing on smallest needles.

NOTES

Pullover is worked bottom-up seamlessly in the round. Body and sleeves are worked separately, then joined for working the yoke. Neck edging is picked up and worked after binding off.
