My Experience

Where I got it: I bought it at Tolt Yarn & Wool

Needles I used: Hiya Hiya US 8/35 mm

Blocked Gauge I got: 17 sts/28 rows = 4"/10 cm

My Thoughts: This is one of those yarns to use over and over again for garments and accessories you want to last. It’s basic in the best way - soft, but with body and bounce thanks to the plied structure. And not only is it affordable, but it has a really great story and comes from a really rich tradition.

What I might design with it: I’m inclined towards cabled hats and simple sweaters. I’ve only swatched in Stockinette, but given the roundness, plies, and wool content, I’d expect this to really pop with textured stitches and have beautiful stitch definition. I think this would be great for a coat-sweater for working in the garden.
