My Experience
Where I got it: The Yarn Collective sent me a skein to try
Needles I used: Hiya Hiya US 6/4 mm
Blocked Gauge I got: 21 sts/32 rows = 4"/10 cm
My Thoughts: Soft and draping are the two most applicable words for this one. It grew horizontally with blocking (from 22 to 21 sts = 4"/10 cm) and got even more languid. I like the depth of the color and really like the rest of the palette too, though I've only seen the other colors in pictures, not in a real color card. The Yarn Collective bases are all curated by particular designers and this one was done beautifully by Carol Feller.
What I might design with it: I think I'd stick with a shawl or wrap - something meant to have a ton of rich drape. I'd be nervous about knitting garments with it as it's super slippery (soft!) and I'm worried it would stretch out of shape quickly. It could be perfect as a 1-skein textured cowl - I want this fabric right next to my skin!
Where you can get some: The Love Knitting website has it, though all but two colors are currently sold out. Hopefully they'll get more soon!
