Chicago Memories
I really enjoyed getting to walk around a tiny bit of Chicago while I was visiting for Vogue Knitting Live a few weeks ago. It seemed that every surface was embellished with some sweet detail, and the city felt like a very unique and special place. Here are a few of my favourite Chicago memories.
the city from the sky
Outdoor dance floor
Woman at Her Toilette, 1875/80 - Berthe Morisot at the Art Institute
Coffee & a WIP at Intelligencia
The library has actual owl gargoyles!
Tiny creatures in the nooks and crannies of buildings
Looks like a bunch of sock yarn skins wound together into a heart!
Striking colours and shapes everywhere.
My favourite quilt from the Art Institute. I love the inverted and repeated images.
If you're ever in Chicago, I recommend visiting the Art Institute and taking a slow stroll around the city so as not to miss the wonderful little details everywhere!
