Coming Soon! Squish Cabled Cardigan!
I really mean it this time!
This sweater pattern has been in the works (or on the back burner) for over two years! Normally if I sit on a project that long, it just never ends up being published. But I really, really adore this one. It took so long because it’s a little bit complex and I wanted to get it right (in all thirteen sizes!)
And I’m finally almost there. If all goes to plan, it’ll be out next Wednesday, January 31. And if something goes wrong, I’ll aim for the following week. But I can tell you I’ve knit this sweater twice, it’s been tech edited, it’s being tested, it’s being copy edited, and it’s going to be so good!

Get Ready
If you’re psyched about adding a richly-cabled cardigan to your wardrobe, here’s some info about the pattern:
Design: An all-over cabled cardigan with raglan yoke shaping and a gentle garter shawl collar
Fit: A relaxed look with carefully-fitted sleeves, shoulders and neckline. Wear it with about 1-6 in/2.5-15 cm of positive ease. (I’m wearing size 37.5 in/95.5 cm and my bust circumference is 31 in/79 cm.)
Construction: It’s knit in pieces for heirloom durability and ease of knitting
Yarn: Worsted weight wool. I used Harrisville Designs Highland and Hudson and West Forge for my samples.

Andrea is wearing all the layers. She’s got a pale blue chambray button-up under a white cabled cardigan with a cute indigo and white polka dot handkerchief around her neck.
What do you think?
I know I’m often a colourwork person, but I do enjoy a classic all-over cable. And how about knitting a sweater in pieces rather than seamlessly? Do you ever do it? Do you only do it that way? Tell me about it in the comments!
A big pile of knitted pieces of a work-in-progress sweater. The cables stand out like a relief sculpture in soft camel-coloured yarn.
