A Garden Stroll
Being Outside, Manicured Version
I tend to prefer outdoor places that are a bit wild with a good trail. But I never pass up the opportunity to spend time in a proper fancy garden and I really appreciate the artistry that goes into planning and implementing them. This week I took a walk in a lovely garden and I want to share what it was like with you!
A garden pathway with pillars under a lush green canopy bordered by unruly flower beds.
A patch of flowers and leaves in shades of white, pink, purple, and green in a manicured garden.
A peacock lounging in a flower bed in front of a green lawn.
Closeup of a many-petaled white flower with a big, round centre that has tiny yellow petals forming a crown around the middle.
Coral-coloured snapdragons looking lush.
A grey and white pea hen is perched on the metal railing of an old fire escape on a white, peeling building.
Dangling purple and white flowers look like very fancy earrings.
A hazy view of white poppies and their leaves blowing in the wind on a bright day.
Rich, lush vines drape over square-cut hedges and small pink flowers.
Closeup of a brilliant round, red flower with a million petals looking like something very royal.
A greenery-covered archway with a concrete balustrade and more gardens blurred out in the background.
Closeup of a cluster of periwinkle purple flowers.
For Nature Lovers
I’m promoting my new book preorder right now, so I have to tell you knitters who love the flowers and vines that KnitOvation Stitch Dictionary is packed with leaves and blooms! It gets pretty plant nerdy with very specific orchids, monstera leaves, and blueberry flowers.
