KnitOvation, a new book is coming!
Yes, I Wrote another Book!
It feels surreal to be announcing my next book, which is available for pre-order now! This is why I didn’t publish very many patterns last year.
KnitOvation is a brand new stitch dictionary companion to the wildly popular AlterKnit Stitch Dictionary. It includes brand new colorwork motifs to expand knitters' creative possibilities and draw them further into the world of stranded knitting with clever, quirky, and beautiful motifs including botanicals, animals, and geometric patterns. The motifs are accompanied by a selection of accessory and garment designs to illustrate how the motifs can be used, and technical information on new topics including using charts and adding flourishes with duplicate stitch.
Excited?
If you just said, “Yes, please!” out loud, it would be extremely helpful to me if you’d go ahead and pre-order. Pre-orders can make a big difference in how much a book is marketed and spotlighted by big retailers. If you appreciate my work and want to support me, this would be a fantastic way to do that! Thank you!
If you’re not in the US, UK, Canada, or Australia, you have a couple of options:
Ask your favourite local book or yarn shop about it. The publisher is Penguin Random House and if the shop buys English-language books at all, chances are high they already order from PRH and can get my book for you. If not, they can set up an account easily. Email me at Contact@AndreaRangel.com for to get connected with a sales rep.
You can probably still order from Amazon from the US, UK, or Canada. I suggest checking all three to see which one has the best deal for you.
Update Friday, September 15, 2023: Preorder Bonus!
I’ve got a special gift for folks who have preordered! Three unique motifs that won’t be found in the book or anywhere else are available for download. Here’s how to get your bonus gift!
Want some Colourwork joy right now?
If you don’t already have AlterKnit Stitch Dictionary on your knitting bookshelf, have a look! It’s got 5 stars on Amazon with over 800 reviews. And it’s been praised and recommended by knitters you might know like Andrea Mowry, Tin Can Knits, Shannon Cook, Kate Atherly, Franklin Habit, and lots more! (Have a look at what other knitters are saying on Amazon and then go buy it from your local indie book or yarn shop. My publisher has a feature to help you find a shop that stocks it near you. 😉)
Have you used AlterKnit?
Tell me about your project (and give a link to Ravelry or Insta?) in the comments below! I’d love to see what you’ve been making.
There are a bunch of projects on Insta too — have a look! #AlterKnitStitchDictionary
