Winter Wonderland!

I haven’t spent much time in snowy places, so it was a particular treat to visit Mt. Washington over the holidays this year. It’s actually not far from Victoria — just a three hour drive — but it’s a completely different, completely magical world.

The highlight of the trip was definitely snow shoeing, particularly because after seeing a whole lot of tracks, we actually caught sight of an American Marten! We were so surprised and delighted and I still can’t believe I managed to take a clear photo. Those yellow markings are like a perfect little scarf!

I hope you’re having an equally magical holiday season! And here’s to 2020, coming soon!
