A Little Yarny Sneak Peek

Normally when I pick yarn for an indie project, I don’t consult anybody but myself. I tend to have a vision and seek out the perfect yarn that I think will express that idea. But for this next project, I got a little help.

I’m making a kids’ version of my Dissent Pullover and I’m very much looking forward to the photo shoot with a pair of 9-year-old twins. So I thought it would be fun to get some input from those kids on what kinds of sweaters they would actually like. Fortunately, they had strong opinions and knew exactly what they wanted.

So this sample will be knit in orange and almost-black, “fire colours”. That contrast will definitely be bold enough! And lucky me, I get to knit with black yarn again! (If you missed how much I love the 12 shades of black of Harrisville Nightshades for my Under the Canopy Cowl, you can read about that here.)

Big thanks to Ancient Arts for supporting this project with a beautiful, classic sock yarn, Socknado. These colours are Nectarine and Fortuitous.
