Years ago I accepted a dare to create a knitting pattern of the Dude’s sweater in the movie, The Big Lebowski. The Dude has been one of my most popular patterns, and I’ve designed a lot of things since then, but I’ve always wanted to revisit that concept. I’ve been plotting a Dude-inspired sweater that could fit anyone and would be a joy to knit, and I’ve finally accomplished my goal with The Royal We: Dude Patterns for Everyone.
These sweaters are thoughtfully designed with great details like tubular edgings, a generous short-row shaped collar, and compound raglan yoke shaping for a great fit. And they’re worked entirely in the round so you never have to purl your color work.
