My Experience
Where I got it: Bought it in person at Knit City in Seattle

Blocked Gauge I got: 26 sts/46 rows = 4"/10 cm
My Thoughts: This yarn is a favourite partly because it's just so fun to watch the colors change and there are so many good colors in this base! Spincycles colors have long repeats that are quite varied. It's slightly thick-and-thin in spots with a lot of bounce thanks to the wool content and relatively tight spin. It's quite soft, but not buttery - it's more sturdy and rugged. At this tight gauge it doesn't have a lot of drape, so I like it at a slightly looser gauge for shawls, but love it at this snug gauge for sweaters. It's great for colorwork, but it's important to pick a contrasting color that will contrast well with all the colors in the skein. I've been successful pairing it with slightly heavier DK weight yarns and heavy fingering weight ones. It's pretty versatile.
What I might design with it: I've designed with this yarn before (Sunlight on the Forest Floor shawl, Pussywillow Mitts, and Leaves in Water sweater), and I'm working on another colorwork cowl. I will probably make more sweaters with it.
