My Experience
Where I got it: I bought this skein at Knot Another Fiber Festival in Oregon.
Needles I used: Hiya Hiya US 6/4 mm
Blocked Gauge I got: 19 sts/30 rows = 4"/10 cm
My Thoughts: It’s soft and lofty, but it’s got some nice drape and shine thanks to the alpaca and silk content. It’s not perfectly smooth, but has a charming nubblieness (that’s a word, I declare.) I found it to be pretty substantial and I was happy with it at a looser gauge than recommended, but I should probably try it at that tighter gauge if I want to make a garment with it.
What I might design with it: This feels like sweater yarn to me. Because of the silk and alpaca content, I’m inclined to make a sweater with seams and maybe some cables or something textured.
Where you can get some: Check it out on the Sincere Sheep website.
