My Experience
Where I got it: I bought it at Knit City in Vancouver.
Needles I used: Hiya Hiya 2.5 mm
Blocked Gauge I got: 30 sts/40 rows = 4"/10 cm
My Thoughts: This yarn creates a sturdy, woolly, and very spongy fabric with very little drape. I couldn’t actually tell by feel that it’s got nylon and it gives the impression of a favourite Shetland-type yarn, but made to be a bit more hard-wearing. It’s so hard to show off super dark yarns, but I wanted an almost-black and I’m super pleased with it. This is not one of those smooshy soft yarns, but it’s got wonderful character.
What I might design with it: Socks seem just right. I think it could be very cool for stranded colourwork socks.
Where you can get some: Check your local yarn shop or the Tukuwool website.
