Winter Beauty
Happy Solstice!
The shortest day of the year has come and gone and I’m feeling a lot of appreciation for how lovely it is outside this time of year. The fog recently has been a whole mood and I’m so glad I’ve taken some time to be in it and enjoy it with my camera. Enjoy the winter ambiance and here’s to longer days and the return of the sun!
A very foggy marsh landscape with reeds and pale trees reflected in the lake.
Closeup of a cedar frond with delicate spider webs like lace decorating it.
A dried, brown fern in a foggy landscape.
A dark grey sock work-in-progress with pale pink, gold, and grey colourwork on a dock next to a lake.
Closeup of the ecosystem of a tree trunk with gnarly bark and a variety of lichens.
Spindly red branches with spider webs looking like the tiniest pearls draped between them.
A foggy lake scene with huge trees barely visible and reflected in the water.
A tiny grey squirrel climbing up the side of a huge tree.
A winter trail scene with muted green leaves and everything obscured by fog.
A tiny lakeside dock nestled in among orange branches and green trees.
That little sock project WIP above is coming next year and I hope I’ll have lots of new patterns for you soon!
