My Experience
Where I got it: Bare Naked Wools sent me a few skeins for yarn support for a design. (Yes, I picked it without trying it because I had a shade card with a little sample & I love their other yarns.)
Needles I used: Hiya Hiya US 4/3.5 mm
Blocked Gauge I got: 25 sts/36 rows = 4"/10 cm
My Thoughts: This is one of those workhorse yarns that you know will last forever. I love it for outerwear. You'll probably find it scratchy if you're used to buttery soft Merino, but it's durable and wonderfully wooly!
What I might design with it: One of the sweaters in my colorwork book, Alterknit Stitch Dictionary, is worked in this yarn - Leaves in Water Cardigan is an all-over colorwork piece that's bound to be an heirloom. It looks stunning and it's tough as nails.
Where you can get some: The Knit Spot website. (Bare Naked Wools is a yarn line developed by designer Anne Hanson.)
