My Experience
Where I got it: I bought it from the Farmer’s Daughter website
Needles I used: 3 mm/US 2.5
Blocked Gauge I got: 24 stitches/40 rows = 4"/10 cm
My Thoughts: This yarn was such a joy to knit with. It’s really soft and creates this wonderful, velvety fabric. The colour is rich, deep, and sort of glowing, and the sculptural stitch definition surprised me. It’s got this lively character that I just love. I kind of regret not buying a sweater quantity and I know I’ll want to knit with this again.
The Rambouillet wool was raised in Wyoming and Montana, and if you’re not familiar with The Farmer’s Daughter, I think you’ll want to correct that. Here’s there About page. They’ve now got a shop where they also have a nice fabric selection along with their yarn, which I think you’ll like if you’re into sewing.
What I might design with it: I made a pair of green Witty’s Trail Mitts with it and they turned out so good!
Where you can get some: Check your local yarn shop or head over to their website.
