My Experience
Where I got it: MYak sent me this skein and a shade card to try.
Needles I used: Hiya Hiya US 4/3.5 mm
Blocked Gauge I got: 24 sts/36 rows = 4"/10 cm
My Thoughts: My gauge was spot-on according to the manufacturer’s recommendation and the resulting fabric is truly dreamy! It’s an interesting yarn for a few reasons. First, the two plies are twisted together fairly gently and that loose twist gives a special drape that’s uncommon to find in a yarn this lofty. It floats really beautifully and feels exceptionally soft. Second, the breed of sheep is Tibetan and just the softest fibres are kept for this yarn. I haven’t seen yarn made from this breed before and I really love it. Plus, I’m really feeling that delicate pink right now. All the colours in the palette are lovely.
What I might design with it: I want a light-as-air sweater for spring!
