More of that sweater
I Know you Want to see it!
Making this sweater has been just the perfect thing for having a small project to take with me everywhere. It’s been my companion on my regular walks and hikes in all my favourite places. I memorized a bunch of the rows, but it’s easy to just check my phone real quick for the few rows I still need a reminder on. Plus, doing it flat with wrong side rows means so many chances to just happily knit the knits and purl the purls.
Here are a few peeks of my progress!
A skein of white wool yarn being held up close to the camera so the yarn is in focus but Andrea is all blurred out. The label reads, “Highland; woolen spun in new england; HD.”
Andrea is holding up a big, richly-cabled white swatch.
Andrea is smiling while awkwardly holding up a cake of yarn and an in-progress cabled sweater sleeve.
Andrea is holding a stack of white, knitted cable sweater pieces.
Andrea’s hand is holding up her knitting project just in the middle of a row. There are cables all over.
The sun is shining brightly through big maple leaves in a forest.
An inviting forest path with big trees, ferns, and a wooden railing stretching into the distance.
Sword fern fronds overlapping in sun and shadow.
Salal berries in varying shades of purple, red, and green, hang under their leaf umbrellas.
A Walk in the Woods
I love taking in the greenery as I hike this time of year. The two plants above, sword fern and salal, are ones featured in my botanical tattoo, so I love saying a special hello to them
